Roses and Lace Wedding Cake

Roses and Lace for Lauren and Chris.  The roses are gumpaste, and the lace piped with a product called sugar veil.  It has the consistency of melted marshmallows before it dries.  The sugar veil comes prepackaged, but i didn't like the consistency of it for piping, so I added more powder until it was thick enough to pipe and still hold it's shape.  Very cool stuff.  It's possible to pick it up and wrap around the cake, yet it's flexible.   Very cool. So many possibilities!
