It all started with a storybook: The Little Blue Truck, by Alice Schertle (Harcourt Children's Book, 2008, Jill McElmurry, illus.) --to be exact.
Loved and read over, and over, and OVER, K's mom just had to have a replica for his first birthday cake. So, the little blue truck became a little blue concoction of crispie treats, white chocolate and fondant.
That grin says it all!
K's mom made the "mud" cake (LOVE the candy rocks! -- nice touch!) and placed the truck topper on top.
Happy Birthday K! Maybe someday you'll remember me as your FAVORITE Aunt!
